I am passionate about writing and making videos as I think they are both a way of storytelling.
I recently took on a challenge of writing a 100-day Japanese diary and documented the process on Instagram.
Writing is a big passion of mine, I enjoy writing because it motivates me to look closely at my life.
Whatever I write it’s me
I am an introvert, but I tend to need to talk or at least externalize them by writing them out to feel like they are fully fleshed out, and I think my thoughts generally exist in a very abstract form, so writing them down can help to solidify my thoughts. I often feel as if I express myself better in writing than in conversation.
I have the memory of a goldfish
If I come up with a nice idea or come across something that is inspiring, or even random thoughts, whatever I had on my mind, I tend to jot down on my phone or note, otherwise I will forget them, and I resent myself for feeling that way.
It makes me laugh
Although I am boring and out of fashion. I had fun when reading what I wrote.
Everyone has their own story to tell, I think writing is a great way to visualize your character through your story, it helps us understand who we are.
Most importantly, it can make me laugh!
It reminds me of wonderful things that happened to me in my life
Writing makes my experiences visible and it helps me remember those small wonderful and beautiful things that slip out of my memory, those things should be remembered but fade with time.
Writing can teach me how to think in the language
As a language learner, it builds my vocabulary and can improve my writing skills in a foreign language.
When you write about something, you have to think in a way that the reader would understand it. It’s also a way for me to challenge myself. We can practice logical thought from writing, because you have to analyze the language so that it makes sense to people.
